
Bob Tomlinson
Bob has over 40 years in the Transportation industry. His first 12 were served as a driver and the next 23 in management while employed at UPS. While holding numerous positions and progressive responsibilities prior to his retirement, some of his assignments included: CDL training, Long Combination Vehicle Training, Driver and Employee Safety Training, logistical movements of the UPS Feeder loads and equipment in the Midwest, Monitoring DOT/OSHA compliance, Employee Relations, Loss Prevention, Industrial Engineering and Congressional contact while attending Driver Training School and various other UPS training and safety schools throughout his career.
Safety First Essentials is a member of the IMTA (Indiana Motor Truck Association) and the IMTA Safety Management Council.
Since retiring from UPS, Bob has built his own company Safety First Essentials. SFE’s mission is to offer its services to companies that have employee/driver training needs and assistance in keeping FMCSA/DOT compliant. Bob and his wife Debbie have been married for 40 years and have seven children.
Bob Bryant
Mr. Bryant has over 40 years in the Transportation industry. While employed at United Parcel Service (UPS), he was a licensed Class A CDL driver.
He has several training and safety school certifications including, but not limited to, National Driving, Space and Visibility, Safe Work Methods, Professional Relationship, and Labor Relations.
Mr. Bryant is a Safety First Essentials advisory member.
Since retiring from UPS, Mr. Bryant has utilized both his education and professional experience as Adjunct Professor at Vincennes University.
